SLAG Vision 2009

The Conference:
Skate Like A Girl coordinators and directors from SEA, PDX, and SFO congregated in Seattle this weekend for the visioning meeting of 2009. It was a grueling three days, but seriously, what other organization accomidates kickflips with bathroom breaks? To say the least we were all stoked to gather together and outline a rout into the future.

Kristin babysits Nancy and I at Snowboard Connection while we work on flip tricks.
Finishing the day at Kristin's work.

Have we really been meeting for 9 hours?
Skate Like A Girl Seattle has got an office space at the Seattle Center, next to the space needle. A skatepark is being built next door. Come visit once they are moved in!

Ladonna's B-day: Ripon and 'The Ranch'

Ladies from as far as from Southern California, Oregon, Washington and even Florida came to skate 'the Ranch' for Ladonna's birthday. 'The Ranch' has cows, hay, and a giant bowl inside a barn. Before skating The Ranch, a dozen of us hit up Ripon. CrAshley from Seattle below.
Kristeezy from Portland is a really impressive skateboarder. However, due to circumstances, she spent the bulk of her time in Cali being injured, harassing people, and sleeping in my closet.
Addaline setting up to play for the ladies bowl jam. Amy and Kristin get on the mic and clear the ramp.
Kristin gets styley while Alex gets some footage. Thanks to Ladonna and Frank for hosting! For more about this place and event click on The Ranch.

Arizona: Part 4

Backyard mini-ramp, thanks to our local guide Carley.
On the way back to LA (thanks to Amy's devout enthusiasm) we stopped at four different thrift stores. I recommend 'Sheltering Wings' in Blythe CA. Pickins may be slim but it has a 25 cent rack, and the cashiers are so happy that they won't even ring you up for all your junk, (treasures I mean).

Arizona: Part 3

Leticia Bufoni catching airLisa filming. If you want to check out some behind the scenes candid videos and pictures of this trip then check out 'The Side Project' (which is listed in the links column to the right) and check out the blog.

I think some of the girls were throwing food... but this waitress fell in love with us. She was hugging and kissing everyone, telling us to come back during her next shift...

Arizona: Part 1

Villa Villa Cola productions is coming out with a new video. Its a womens surf movie that "won't gag you with a spoon," as Tiffany puts it. This epic movie, 'Dear & Yonder,' is a must see! The makers, Tiffany Morgan and Andria Lessler, decided to include a skating element, which was to be filmed in and around Phoenix AZ. I was able to get hold of a Previa, thus I was designated Previa driver for this filming mission.
